Newsletter - March 2007

Tell us your stories and win!
We'll deliver this month's feature bouquet to your special someone FREE if you've got the best story to share!

Like to give but don't like to spend? Read on!

This month, we want your life stories. Or at least your love stories.

Tell us about your most successful, daring, disastrous or heart-melting romantic moments - especially if they involved flowers! Did you bring her flowers she turned out to be allergic to? Did he give you roses and forget to remove the thorns? Did you cover her office with flowers and wait for her to arrive? Propose with 100 red roses? Accidentally leave the ring on the wrong desk?

We're offering this month's feature bouquet delivered anywhere in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne, with your personal message on the card.

Write to admin@balwynblooms.com.au with your best story in 200 words or less for your chance to win. We'll publish our favourites in future editions of the newsletter - your anonymity protected of course!

Don't forget to use your Valentine's bonus voucher!

If you took advantage of our voucher offer and ordered your Valentine's flowers early, don't forget that you have until March 31st to use your vouchers.

The team on Valentine's day

Thanks from the Valentine's day team!

Remember: when sending office Valentines,
do not click the "send all" button.

Love is a battlefield

As you can imagine, a florist on Valentine's Day is the site of all kinds of human drama. We see it all... frantic boyfriends at 7pm, desperate husbands right on closing time, tearful girlfriends calling to ask where their delivery is.

Sometimes we're asked to orchestrate a wonderful surprise for a lucky lady or lad - "Deliver exactly at 3pm, have your driver say this, and have the card say that." Other times we've delivered flowers to multiple ladies from the same lad...with strict instructions to keep them secret from each other!

This year we noticed there were a lot less frantic 7pm customers...well done for taking advantage of our pre-ordering offer and NOT being this year's Mr. Desperate At Closing Time!

Easter Flowers

Easter is April 6-9 this year. Here are some of the traditional Easter flowers...

Tulips

Tulips are beautifully coloured and brighten up your home wonderfully. Their meaning is love, passion and belief - so they're a great flower for Easter.

White Easter Lilies
White lilies stand for purity and hope, and are an ancient symbol of the Resurrection.

Daisies
Daisies are an Easter favourite. They stand for innocence, loyalty, purity and gentleness.
