Being a Mum
We asked our fantastic Sunday florist Nanette to share her experiences of motherhood with us.
I have the
privilege
of being the mother of six children, now young adults. Consequently, Mother's Day is a special celebration. However, being a florist my family celebrates with me a week earlier.
My children know my passion regarding flowers, so we celebrate Mother's Day in the traditional way of a meal together and the giving of flowers.
In their younger years, they gave blooms from the garden placed on the "brekky tray", and now slightly more exotic flowers - all given with that priceless commodity - love.
